In this virtual program, we will utilize both machine models and block-based programming tools in order to form a deeper understanding of the A.I technology that has captivated international conversations around technology and the future for society.
DESIGN FOR EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
Technology continues to innovate and expand the realm of possibility within the modern age. This virtual program will introduce you to the power of emerging hardware and software. From pocket-sized computers and wearable tech, to exploring the possibilities of iOT we guide you through a project to program the world and interact with all that is around you. This program requires our workshop kit.
Graphic Design
Do you have a love for art technology but have no idea where to start? In our Graphic Design virtual program, students will become experts in the software used by Graphic Design professionals and artists. Lessons will familiarize students with composition, color, scale, and other visual metaphors needed to become masters in the field of digital art. To foster a greater appreciation of craft and hands-on material, students will embrace both online and offline art projects.
This class requires Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Web DESIGN
Calling all future web designers! Have you ever wanted to create your own website? Leave your mark on the Internet with our Web Design virtual course! This project-based program teaches students how to build their own websites from scratch. Students will learn the language of HTML and CSS, while building their own live homepages to serve as portfolios for their digital creations. By the end of this course, students will be experts on web page development, analyze and fix existing internet errors, and showcase their amazing multi-page sites!
Mobile Programming
Want to be the next great inventor? Start with your phone! Our Mobile Programming virtual course offers free software used to create, code, and promote cell phone apps. In this online intensive, students will build meaningful mobile projects, learn popular programming concepts from looping to interactivity, and engage in the CS principles needed to create today’s pocket-technology.
CREATIVE CODING
Interested in learning how to code your favorite games, animations, and short skits? Join us for our Creative Code! Using the free, online coding platform Scratch, students are guided through our virtual session’s activities and arts-based projects. Skills on creativity, computation, and lateral thinking are all embraced within the ever-changing online landscape.
Manga/Anime drawing
Calling all Manga Fans! Have you ever wanted to sketch and design your own anime? In our Manga/Anime virtual course, we unlock the many possibilities of anime creation, from crafting storyboards and plot brainstorms, to drawing our own characters through an anime style. We foster the next generation of Anime creators, and help you build your portfolio while learning all about the world of Manga.
